The Solar Controller is both the heart and brain of a solar water heater. It controls the flow of heating fluids and water, based on programmable temperature differential measurements. It measures the temperature in various zones such as at the output of the collectors and compares this to the temperature of the solar storage tank, and makes decision to turn off/on pumps and Diverter valves. The solar water heater controller can display the current status of the system and make adjustments for safety. 

The digital controller will turn the pumps on when there is heat demand from the collector, divert the heat to an auxiliary heating system and shut the system down if the heat demand is too low (or too high in emergency conditions).

Solarshine has three models solar controller

HLC- 388: For compact pressurized solar water heater with timing and thermostat controlling for electric heater.

HLC- 588: For split pressurized solar water heater with temperature difference circulation, timing and thermostat control for electric heater. 

HLC- 288: For non-pressurized solar water heater, with water level sensor, water re- filling, timing and thermostat control for electric heater.

Q: Is it possible to use the controller with a 110V/ 60Hz and 220V/ 60Hz?
Yes, we have both types for 110V/ 60Hz and 220V/ 60Hz 

Q: Can we order 50 units in 110V and 50 units in 220V?
Yes, you can order 50 units for each model.  

Q: We do not need cable and connector, is the price the same?

The power input cable is welded fix to the PCB board, the cable can not be removed and assembly, so the cable is an necessary part. About the connector, yes we can cancel it and the price will be- US$1.00.

The sensor model is NTC10K, 2PCS sensors,  one is for solar collector, one is for water tank. 


Q: Can we Use for swimming pools with solar collectors?  

Yes, it can be used on the solar heating system for swimming pool. 

Q: What is minimum temperature differential for control?  

Circulation opening temperature difference: Minimum setting is 5℃, max. setting is 30℃, default setting is 15℃.vCirculation stop temperature difference: 3 ℃
